Adding Friends without the 5$ :: Help and Tips

You know mate .. no money = no friends. 🙂

But i didn’t pay my friends to be with me so that’s not logic :/

Add me. I’ll explain you xd.

+ just a prank bro

Have your friends invite you, you can accept their requests. You can give them the link to ypour profile in-game.

If you have a computer, you live in a community with money. Ask family and neighboors for chores to earn some money. The accomplishment will grant even more satisfaction playing the games you can then buy.

As far as i underatand this, you think you can’t do it because you have no dollars in your country?

An equal ammount of money, in €/£ etc. Will also work. But it must be at least the same value as 5 USD.

I think i’ll have to get used to accept requests only, the primary problem is that in my country one dollar equals like two thousand bugs. I was looking for some miracle here

But only for those who are left behind

New domain here above comes up clean, for now. Fair enough they have several methodes of earning their coins.

One of these methodes is offering surveys. On many sites like this-one, surveys are are way of fishing. Some of these sites do so intentionally, some just do not check their customer companies well enough. Be carefull with your personal info. Or go RPG on them, create a fictional character who takes the surveys.

I think it’s ridiculous that steam has this policy in place. “You must spend money in order to use our friend messaging system” … Way to deter new people from using steam for free games! I’ve personally started using other platforms and when I hear of more and more experiences like this, especially since it wasnt an issue before, you’d think Steam would jump on it… But no. Corporate greed is alive and well at Steam HQ.

This has nothing to do with corporate greed and everything with criminal greed. The other platforms don’t even come close to the amount of possible victims Steam has for the criminals. There were about 0877074074 Steam acc. hijacks each and any months because any fisher, scammer and malwarespammer could open new accounts by the 1000’s and abuse these to lure in their victims. This very feature, no friends invites from free accounts, stopped a huge part of all attacks.

Besides, most F2P games have a friends feature in-game. Furthermore any-one with a free Steam acc. can join game groups and the forums. And from these forums other gamers can send invites to Ppl they got to know. So no loss there at all.

It was fun before they added the $5.00 USD restriction – get spammed with a lot of friend invites each day by bots trying to scamming, phishing and hijacking your Steam Accounts by sending malicious links through the chat feature.

People can only complain instead of asking themself WHY they added such restrictions.

And yes Valve already tried other things without having to pay something in Steam – didn’t worked, heck they event tried a lower amount other than $5.00 USD and it still didn’t worked.

The $5.00 USD worked since those scumbags who created the bots are not willing to spend $5.00 USD on each account just to “add” friends.

Beside all this, Steam is still a business.

Actually now that you say that i can see a little more than greed coming from Steam, actually it makes sense that a huge gaming company like steam is vulnerable to several attacks and hacks when everybody is able to enter and have total freedom inside it. We end up “suffering” or disliking it because we don’t have the possibility, but like an adage that is heavily said here in my country: “Innocent people pay for the sins of the guilty ones”. That’s how it is, im not disgusted with that policy, not anymore; i think is fair enough
