mine recycle bin stores data but the icon has turned into a folder icon instead of default recycle bin icon and when i click on its properties it show no properties for this item!!

Thanks, i ran the CMD in command prompt then restarted my pc, works very well even 2 years later.
I can't delete that Recycle folder, because whenever I am trying to delete something my pc blinks out and the file cannot be deleted

be careful by paste: rd /s /q C: $Recycle. bin
those space between C: $Recycle and. bin
can corrupt your C disk, in my case that happens, I copy from other page, now it ruined my c disk.
For Windows 8 users it's "Folder Options" just so you guys know
So every time I try the CMD option and use the command it tells me "Access Denied." Then when I try and make the folder visible to delete it I keeps telling me I need permission! I have tried looking how to get permission to this folder so I can do this but I cannot find anything…….I'm sure the answer is right in front of me but does anyone know how to get around this?

For me worked secund method removing the folder.

I bealive that this problem starts when you change SATA position of your hard drives on your motherboard wile you had something in your recycle bin and did not deleted before swaping SATA positions.
He dont Know what is in recycle bin anymore and cant deleted by it self.
For those who this metods not worked, try to reposition your sata ports of your HDD!
