  4. How do you know where a build will be printed on the build plate ( I am trying to make a phone case and the printer tries to print it in the bottom left corner)

  5. At 16:00 you insert the Z Stop directly into the side while the manual shows that the inserted metal heads need to sit sideways in the groove. The manual doesn't say how but the only way to do it is to drop it down from the very top with the metal heads set horizontal. Then you can drop it down and tighten it into place.

  7. awesome video, i watched and paused 50 times while assembling mine. After using for a month, my only issue was at 24:28. You seem to ensure the belt tensioner is parallel with the extruded aluminum. I noticed this caused some light rubbing with the belt and tilted it downward just a hair to prevent rubbing.

  8. Hello i am from Jakarta, Indonesia, Thank you for your complete and very detail video, I did it in 5 hours. Watching your video, while also checked the manual Instructions
    (I think, the very important to do in the first time was checking and sets all the rollers in Y axis/the bed, X rollers, Extruder Rolllers, and the right side roller smothly to the Aluminium Profile) becouse when i got it in the first time the roller was very tight)

  11. Hey brother, just started assembling my ender 3 pro today. Got to the part about installing the z stop, where you showed to put the square nuts Vertically. In my updated manual it shows to put them horizontally and slide it down from the top. Are you putting them In so loose that you end up with them horizontal or ?

  19. When tightening the knobs for the bed on two of the the screw is spinning with the knob……I don't think this is normal operation….

  20. This helped me put my Ender-3 together today. I did most of it from the single sheet instructions, which are quite lacking… I couldn't determine which of the 3 plugs to use on the control box. Thank you for pointing that out.
    I think this Ender-3 is a lot more advanced because it's not quite the same as the one you did in the vid… (catchy)
    So, crux of the matter? Channel content great. Channel name? Uh… nevermind…
    But, you earned my subscription and thumbs-up.
    I never eat steak the way this video was done. Never eat steak well done. But I'll take well done vids any day.

  23. When i turn on my ender the first time and hit auto home….. it finishes but when i look at the position of the nozzle, it is not above the plate. The plate is about half a centimeter more back than the nozzle. Sideways the nozzle is barely above the side of the olate. Is this normal? I did not do any leveling yet.

  25. Woohoo! I got my Ender 3 delivered today. Maybe I should have read up on a bit more to know what kind of trouble I got myself into.

    I was in a touch of wide eye blinking shock when I opened the box and it was exploded all inside. After about 2 mins of staring at it in a blinky disbelief, I started to take the parts out carefully. I located the Instruction's sheet. That thing is a pain in the ass for my old eyes. Even with my bifocal glasses on, some of the pictures were hard to decipher. I just knew someone out there did a video on how to put this thing together. Thank you for making a great video on it. Got my printer all put together (with no help from the hubby other than several smart assed comments tossed from the other room). Now I just need to learn the rest of what goes with it, like loading the filament, getting the files over to it, and finally doing my test printing. Love the links to the extra parts in your description. I will definitely print those out.

    I can also already see that I'm going to need a dust cover for it. Off to the design boards. Looking forward to all the fun I will have with this little printer.

  27. Great video! Just want to mention this—10:50 I had the opposite problem; the vertical beams were about 1/4" closer at the top. Took almost 40 minutes to get it right, because I felt like the bottom screw had to be loosened way too much. Finally got it within 1/16", but the top screws are uncomfortably tight and the bottom ones feel on the edge of being too loose. I'll see how it goes, though. May not be an issue.

  31. Useful video but oh my god I’ve been questioning every design choice and their whole R&D department my entire way through this. Maybe I’m applying toolroom lathe type logic to it but everything just feels so…. inaccurately built i guess.

  42. I have purchased an ender 3 v2.0 and assembled it as per your video, easy peasy, but I cannot get my laptop to recognize the printer, is this normal.

  43. Those square nuts should be angled sideways, so that they can't get out side ways, only along the rails. That's why you should first put in the tensioner in before your wrap the belt around. The tensioner should be slided in along the rails.

  44. You're missing some major steps, like which bolts do I use and which Z rails go where and how? Those are in the original instructions, but watching two instructions at the same time is kind of a hassle.

  45. I wish I had watched this video when setting mine up, instead of the video I did watch. I didn't do that measuring and adjusting of the gantry extrusions, or adjust the eccentric nuts before everything was assembled. Now no matter what I do with the eccentric nuts there's either always a wheel on each side that's almost free spinning while the other two are so tight I can't turn them, or two wheels are properly tensioned but there's still wobble in the x-axis. I probably need to take the whole thing apart and put it back together properly lol. Fortunately I've only had the printer a couple weeks so hopefully incorrect setup won't have caused any lasting issues.

  47. Could not have done it without the excellent help in this video. Everything went smoothly, would recommend you draw a line with a pencil on the plate while aligning the header bar parallel to the base to use as a guide to tighten the 2 screws. We screwed the bar down to where the motor plate could be used to measure equal height on both sides, drew a pencil line and things worked much better.
    We used Vibratite thread locker on some of the assembly after cleaning all the bolts 1st to ensure things would not come loose later. Found the machine screws quite dirty from factory as well as the worm gear. After cleaning we applied a thin layer of white lithium grease to the gear threads.
    Thank you to all who posted and for the excellent tips on a better setup, provided in this video. 1st class !!

  48. 11:40 I have about a 2mm difference no matter what I do. I can tighten the screw in whichever way I want, the top is always 2mm wider.
